It is the biggest test Europe has faced since 1990, perhaps even since the Rome Treaties were agreed 53 years ago. This test is an existential one. We must pass it. If we fail to do so, Europe and beyond will face unforeseeable consequences. But if we succeed, Europe will come out stronger than ever before.’
